Amalina Davis

Head, Strategy and Advocacy

Amalina had a six-year corporate career in a Malaysian multinational conglomerate, Sime Darby spanning marketing, transformation, strategy & internal audit. She holds a double degree in Chemical Engineering & Business Management from the University of New South Wales, Sydney.

A Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum, she is passionate about social justice and providing equitable opportunities for all levels of humanity. Her volunteering trip to India during university opened up her eyes to severe inequality and sparked her passion for community development. Since then, she has been actively involved in community programmes across Malaysia, Australia & Spain.

As a caregiver to her Bipolar father, mental health is a cause close to her heart. The experience of using the Malaysian mental healthcare system highlighted the systemic gaps that existed. It spurred her career change from corporate to mental health advocacy, in hopes to ameliorate it someday.

In her free time, she enjoys meditating, doing yoga, reading, writing and travelling. An avid traveller that has travelled to over 35 countries, she writes about her journeys in a travel blog.
