Jama’atul ‘Adauyah Binti Shafiee (Jamie) is a dedicated Clinical Psychologist with a unique and comprehensive background in medicine and psychology. She holds a Medical Degree (MD), a Master’s in Psychology, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, equipping her with a multidisciplinary approach to mental health care. Previously working as a medical doctor, her clinical experience spans several years, working with children, adolescents, and special needs individuals, demonstrating her commitment to fostering good mental health and well-being.


Jamie's therapy approach integrates various modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focus Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is also trained in Cognitive Remediation Therapy and holds certification in clinical trauma specialization, such as a Trauma Informed Therapist from the Arizona Trauma Institute, US. Her therapeutic practice also incorporates the Gestalt Chair Method and inner child work, which are central to her trauma-focused therapy, helping clients address and heal unresolved emotional wounds from early experiences.


Her experience is further enriched by her active involvement in research and professional development, focusing on psychological functioning post-trauma and disaster response. In addition to her clinical work, Jamie has extensive experience in volunteer coordination, special needs education, and public relations. She has effectively led teams, managed projects, and engaged in community outreach, highlighting her versatile skill set and dedication to mental health advocacy. Jamie’s strengths include her multilingual abilities, proficiency in IT and digital marketing, and a keen interest in child and adolescent development. Her passion for mental health is evident through her active participation in social media campaigns and her continuous efforts to combat stigma and promote mental well-being.
