Ranila is a licensed and registered counsellor at Thrive Well. Along with her formal education in psychology and counselling, Ranila is also a practicing medical doctor. As a doctor, Ranila saw the importance of mental health in treating patients as a whole, and not just physically. This observation, and her interest in understanding the human mind, made her venture into psychology and counselling.
As a counsellor, Ranila has experience working with children and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship and self worth challenges. Ranila's passion lies in working with people from all walks of life, particularly in sharing her presence and unconditional support to those journeying through challenging times.
She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in her practice and is currently undergoing training in Emotion Focused Therapy as she believes that emotional awareness and insight are the key to a better understanding of oneself.
Ranila enjoys reading and dancing in her spare time. She likes playing all kinds of sports and trying out new active hobbies, her most recent being cycling.
