Psychology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Over the years, Aqilah has worked in a variety of settings, including NGOs and a psychiatric
institution under the Ministry of Health (MOH). She’s had the privilege of supporting a wide
range of individuals—children, teens, and adults. Professionally trained in psychological
assessments and intervention programs, Aqilah takes an eclectic approach to therapy, using
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as her primary
tools. She helps clients manage various challenges, including neurodevelopmental, mood,
anxiety, and personality disorders. Aqilah is also deeply passionate about community work,
engaging with people from all walks of life through activities and programs that promote
mental health awareness and strengthen family relationships.
At the heart of her work, Aqilah believes that everyone has a story worth sharing and deserves
to be truly heard. She aims to create a warm, safe space in her sessions—one that’s built on
empathy, respect, and genuine care.
Outside of work, Aqilah enjoys unwinding with a good book or some music. Her taste in books
ranges from chilling thrillers to heartfelt literary fiction. When it comes to music, she enjoys a
bit of everything, with BTS, Coldplay, and Adele being some of her favorites. Aqilah also finds
joy in simple pleasures like beach strolls and hunting for the next best ice cream spot. To her,
few things are more comforting than the sound of waves or a scoop of her favorite ice cream..
